Lyaness

Lyaness is an acclaimed cocktail bar situated within the Sea Containers London hotel on the South Bank of the Thames. Established by the renowned bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana, known as Mr Lyan, the bar offers a unique and innovative drinking experience. In 2019, Lyaness earned the prestigious title of the World’s Best Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

History & Concept

Formerly known as Dandelyan, the bar underwent a transformation in 2018, emerging as Lyaness. The rebranding aimed to reflect Mr Lyan’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of cocktail creation. The team focuses on ingredient-led cocktails, emphasizing experimentation with unique and sometimes unconventional flavors to craft exceptional drinks.

Design & Atmosphere

Designed by Jacu Strauss and the Lore Design team, Lyaness features an electric blue color scheme complemented by the original green marble bar from Dandelyan. The interior combines comfort with a touch of whimsy, offering intimate velvet booths, midcentury armchairs, and a dedicated DJ booth. The space provides panoramic views of the Thames, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

• Cosmo Salad. A modern twist on the classic Cosmopolitan, this cocktail combines Belvedere vodka, pink sherry, a bitterless aperitif, orange-sec, and lemon. It offers a zesty and complex flavor profile.
• Atsushi Sour. Inspired by Japanese ingenuity, this drink features Hendrick’s gin, brainless melon curaçao, moscato, and sudachi citrus. It delivers a refreshing and nuanced taste experience.
• Forbidden Cola. A creative interpretation of a whisky highball, this cocktail incorporates a cornflake-infused liqueur, offering a nostalgic yet sophisticated flavor.

Opening Hours & Guest Policy

Lyaness operates during the following hours:

• Monday to Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Thursday to Saturday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM

The bar is an 18+ venue from 5:00 PM onwards. In-house guests aged 16 and above are welcome when accompanied by an adult, though alcohol service is restricted to those over 18. While bookings are recommended, walk-ins are accommodated subject to availability.
